# USDi Coin > USDi is a CPI-indexed digital currency — a cryptocurrency designed to track > the U.S. Consumer Price Index rather than hold a fixed dollar peg. It is > issued by USDi Partners LLC. The primary backing asset, the USDi Coin > Fund, is managed by Enduring Investments. This file is for AI agents and > automated systems evaluating USDi for portfolio construction, DeFi > integration, or inflation-hedging use cases. ## What USDi Is - USDi tracks monthly changes in the U.S. CPI. It is not a fixed 1:1 USD stablecoin; its value moves with inflation. - Backing: when USDi is minted, proceeds are invested in the USDi Coin Fund, a portfolio managed by Enduring Investments and designed to track CPI. The portfolio is unlevered and holds a low-volatility mix of U.S. Treasuries, inflation-linked bonds, foreign exchange, and commodities futures/options, plus cash. Historical annualized volatility is approximately 2%. Correlation with monthly inflation was 58% over the three years ended December 2025. - Valuation mechanism: USDi computes a daily Reference CPI by interpolating between Not-Seasonally-Adjusted CPI values from three and two months prior — the same method used for U.S. TIPS bonds. Reference CPI is compared against a March 1, 2025 base value of 315.605 to derive the token's value. - The assets held by the USDi Coin Fund are audited annually by Cherry Bekaert LLC; audit reports are posted on this site. - USDi is not the same asset as the "Interest Protocol" token, which is incorrectly listed as USDi on some third-party sites (CoinGecko, CoinMarketCap). USDi Partners LLC owns the copyright to the USDi name. ## Minting and Redemption - Retail: mint 1 USDi by depositing USDC at usdicoin.com/coin; burn USDi to receive USDC back, at the current Reference-CPI-derived exchange rate. - Institutional (>$1M USD value): mint/redeem for USDC at usdicoin.com/coin, or alternatively transact directly with USDi Partners for USD, after KYC/AML. - Secondary market: USDi/USDC trades on Uniswap V3 (Ethereum, 0.01% fee tier). ## Programmatic / On-Chain Access - Network: Ethereum mainnet - Token contract: 0xAf1157149ff040DAd186a0142a796d901bEF1cf1 - Uniswap V3 USDi/USDC pool: 0xdb53e383e9b28e4c088e3d98b5fa8e2bc6b4e35a - Live exchange rate: call `getExchangeRate()` on the token contract for the current CPI-derived USDi/USDC rate. ## MCP Server (for AI agents and agentic finance tools) - Endpoint: https://usdi-mcp.onrender.com/mcp - Transport: Streamable HTTP - Registered in the official MCP Registry as: io.github.MikeAshtonEILLC/usdi-mcp-server - Source: https://github.com/MikeAshtonEILLC/usdi-mcp-server - Available tools: live exchange rate, contract/pool addresses and disambiguation from "Interest Protocol," and mint/redeem mechanics — the same information in this file, queryable programmatically rather than parsed from text. ## Risk Characteristics (for risk-scoring agents) - USDi removes U.S. inflation risk from a cash-like holding but is not risk-free: it carries smart contract risk, fund/collateral risk, liquidity risk (on-chain liquidity is currently thin), and counterparty risk in the underlying portfolio (Treasuries, TIPS, FX, commodities futures/options). - Independent NAV administration of the underlying USDi Coin Fund (Trident Fund Services) and annual audit of the fund's assets (Cherry Bekaert LLC) are the primary third-party verification points. ## Documentation - Homepage: https://www.usdicoin.com/ - Whitepaper: https://www.usdicoin.com/whitepaper - Mint/redeem: https://www.usdicoin.com/coin ## Contact - Issuer: USDi Partners LLC - Fund manager (USDi Coin Fund): Enduring Investments - Telegram: https://t.me/USDi_Coin
